Daniel Cousin Transfer In Doubt

Daniel Cousin is only one step away from being given permission to join Fulham from Rangers, but the decision rests with FIFA.

Fulham and Rangers have agreed a fee of £3 million for the youngster but the completion of the move has had to be put on hold.

While at Lens he played 20 minutes of action for the first team, then moved to Rangers in the summer. However Fifa rules state that no player is allowed to play for more than two clubs in just one season.

Rumour has it that the move has been denied by FIFA but the football governing body have not yet made any sort of decision on whether to allow the transfer or not.

Cousin has been training with Fulham since the fee was agreed but now must wait to see if he can continue training at Fulham or whether he must return to Rangers.

Rumour – Tottenham Accept Villa Bid For Kevin-Prince Boateng

Tottenham have accepted a bid from Aston Villa for midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng, thought to be in the region of £6 million.

The former Hertha Berlin player moved to Tottenham in the summer but has seen himself limited to making substitute appearances for the club.

He has only made three appearances this season where he has started from the beginning of the match. The German Under-21 star has been allowed to talk to Villa about a possible move away from White Hart Lane and Juande Ramos has told told Boateng he is surplus to requirements.

Boateng will go to Villa Park and have contract talks and a possible medical before completing the move in time before the transfer window shuts tomorrow at midnight, if Vila can complete any other outstanding deals.

Gary Cahill Moves to Bolton

Aston Villa defender Gary Cahill has moved to Bolton Wanderers after both clubs agreed a fee for the player.

Gary CahillAston Villa turned down a bid from Bolton in the week which was of around the £4 million mark, but Bolton wanted their man and made an improved offer which seems to have being accepted by Aston Villa. The fee is thought to be around £5 million.

The big defender was attracting clubs such as Sheffield United, Sunderland and Birmingham before Bolton made an offer for him. The England U-21 defender is now expected to finalize a move to Bolton before the transfer window shuts on Thursday night.

Gary Cahill was on loan at Sheffield United for a long period of the season but will now be glad that he could play first team English Premier League football once more week in, week out.

Rumour – Duo Watch Everton Star Lescott

Reports have surfaced that two English Premier League Clubs Are Watching Everton Star Joleon Lescott.

With both Manchester United and Arsenal reported to be looking at Joleon Lescott this week Everton manager David Moyes is concerned that he might not sign a new deal at Goodison Park and want to leave for one of the two clubs that are rumoured to be looking at him.

Everton offered the new England star a new 5-year contract in the summer, but there has been no movement as of yet. The 5-year is similar to those that have been offered to Andrew Johnson, Mikel Arteta and TIm Cahill earlier this year.

Lescott has been in fine form for Everton so far this season; scoring 7 goals, and flourishing at both Centre-Back and Left-Back.

Lescott only made his £5 million move from Wolves in the Summer transfer window in 2006, and has represented Everton in every competitive match since then.

Hutton Seals Spurs Move

Rangers full back Alan Hutton has moved to Premier League side Tottenham and finally bringing a stop to the rumours of ‘will he, won’t he join Tottenham?’

At the beginning of the January transfer window both Rangers and Tottenham agreed on a £9 million deal for the Rangers and Scotland full back. However, Hutton himself was reported to have turned down the chance to join the English Premier League side Tottenham, instead of staying at Rangers.

Hutton has now changed his mind and signed for Tottenham. He becomes Juande Ramos’ third signing since he took over the club in October as he has already snapped up Jonathan Woodgate and Chris Gunter this January.

Hutton could make his first appearance in a Tottenham shirt against Manchester United at White Hart Lane on Saturday, Man Utd being a club who were looking at the player as a possible replacement for Gary Neville.

Rumour – Villa Close To Routledge Deal

Tottenham midfielder Wayne Routledge is close to moving to Aston Villa after agreeing personal terms with the English Premier League club. He is now having a medical before the move is sealed.

Routledge has been a ‘bit part player’ this season and made it clear at the beginning of the month of his intentions to move on from Tottenham.

The deal that will could take him to Villa Park, is expected to be worth in the region of £1.5 million.

Routledge has played just three games since moving from Crystal Palace three years ago, and has seen his promising career go down the drain before his eyes.

He now wants to re-start his career at a new club. Martin O’Neil is keen to add Routledge to his squad and offer him a way out of his nightmare at White Hart Lane

Routledge could become Villa’s first signing of the transfer window if he passes a medical, but they are also close to signing another Tottenham player – Kevin-Prince Boateng.
